The band, who has recently signed a deal with Nuclear Blast Records, have previously unveiled that their new album is scheduled to be released in the Spring of 2022.
"With this new work we aim to turn as many eyes as possible away from the dizzying clutter of illusion and human shortcomings ever so prevalent in the world of man, to instead reflect the undying flame illuminating our own spiritual and physical vicinity in this brief intermission that is life", WATAIN explain on their official statement.
"Tonight we also remember the men and women before us who fed that flame, and their noble toil and devotion which made it roar towards the heavens like a thousand arsons.
To all of our followers, disciples, supporters, we send our gratitude for your persistent hunger and loyalty. We have many great and terrible things to share with you in the time to come!"
We are certainly looking forward to hearing what this new work of dark art will be able to channel - and meanwhile we celebrate this news relistening to all WATAIN's previous albums - a really perfect soundtrack to this unholy night of Samhain!
