No Future rarely play live, this we all know very well: they may remain silent, or at least so it seems from the outside, for a long while, but what happens in their inner cosmo of creative minds remain behind the curtains and then at one point, they reappear like an unexpected spring of water among the rocks, you didn't see it before but now it's there.
And so it happened also this time, in September of last year when, after about 8 years from their previous show, they announced two live dates in Finland in February 2025: then it was only a matter of a few weeks until
they premiered their song "Motherhood", which immediately carried the listeners back into their peculiar and bittersweet atmosphere, making it seem like no time had really passed since their previous release.
A No Future show is then, as we were saying, a strange and rare occasion, and additionally, this time Lukas Häger (who also plays guitar in No Future) was opening both shows, further enriching the evenings with his captivating solo guitar live set.
So, when we saw some striking photographs of their live appearance in Helsinki (shout out to
Club Lupercalia not only for organizing the event, but also for sharing some of these images), captured by talented photographer
Riku Hyötyläinen, we felt right away that we had to ask his permission to feature them here on Unearthed Mirrors.
