UnoX is the union of Uno Bruniusson's eclectic percussions with Xrysafeniax ' electronic sounds: both were already active in their respective projects (Uno, beside drumming with Maggot Heart, CV Vision, and others, also has his solo project Perkwuno, and Xrysafeniax plays in her duo with Alexandra Maciá, Phallucipher), when they decided to join their musical skills and ideas and venture in a more experimental territory, to create with rhythms and sound waves the equivalent of a psychedelic experience.
Back in January 2023, they performed their first live set together, at Berlin label Edelfaul's event Organised Decay I: a full streaming of their show is available on Perkwuno's SoundCloud, while a short clip may be seen here below:
In July 2023 they appeared at Fusion Festival in Germany and in Uppsala, where also Uno's father, Hasse Bruniusson, experienced percussionist himself, performed his rhythmic improvisations; and on the same evening they were joined by Gottfrid Åhman who played with his brother Pelle and Bengt Blomberg a sound collage live set.
After another performance at Edelfaul's Organized Decay Anniversay edition in September 2023, they are now ready to get back on stage: on January 26th they will play in Athens at Blackness Filled My Ears, and then on February 24th at Saturnalia Temple's "Paradigm Call" release show in Brussels.
We are looking forward to hearing more audio hallucinations from UnoX and of course keep your eyes open because if any footage or audio will emerge from their upcoming shows, we will of course be sharing them.
