PÅGÅ announced for Tower Transmissions XI in September 2025

Renowned festival of experimental music Tower Transmissions has confirmed PÅGÅ among the bands performing at the eleventh edition of the event, which will take place at Strasse E in Dresden from September 12th to September 13th, 2025.

PÅGÅ commented: "In 2016 we formed PÅGÅ as a means to explore a more intuitive way of making music, as well as working with new materials and methods. We have continued in that spirit through the years and have put together a variation of live sets that we have performed in Uppsala and Stockholm in Sweden, Pori and Helsinki in Finland as well as on a European tour with Lukas Häger and Whalesong, working exclusively with tape loops, audial premutations, assorted percussions, vocals and instrumentation. This methodology of sound and vision will be explored further and presented at Tower Transmissions 2025."

VERGING - an unofficial music video for BY ENDS GREAT GLITTER by PÅGÅ

Today, for those of you who, just like us, enjoy having from time to time also some visual stimulation along with their favourite music, we are delighted to present "Verging", an unofficial video for one of PÅGÅ's most spellbinding songs: "By Ends Great Glitter".

The video is an experimental sequence of scenes which, as the title suggests, hints in a way at the feeling of approaching, of culmination, that might be sensed in the sort of ethereal, uncanny bliss which seems to permeate this song. Fragmented flashes and visions perhaps of an awakening, of a discovery, or maybe an encounter.

It has been conjured up by Vesperalia and of course PÅGÅ's music has been used with permission.

You can watch it here below, we hope you'll enjoy it and in case you haven't yet, grab yourself a copy of the unique album which is PÅGÅ's fantastic debut "The Evil Year", available at Svart Records.

Focus On: PÅGÅ

“Out of a great lust to encounter the unknown and to explore the boundless in us this record/work came about, in the hands of The High Spirit Rebel. We wish this may serve as great entertainment, a bad enemy, an instrument and a match.
Enter! Step in!”

With these words in 2020, PÅGÅ, duo consisting of Pelle & Gottfrid Åhman, introduced their debut album "The Evil Year" (Svart Records, November 2020) to the outside world.

As we later became aware though, the seeds of this album had been planted quite a few years before: "In late 2016 me and Pelle spent a night playing each other all kinds of songs and sketches we individually had been working on during the year. In this soup of sounds there were a few pieces that seemed to carry some kind of thread or a mood maybe and it was something about the juxta-positioning of the pieces, with their different production qualities, that we found really intriguing. We could also see a story or at least a musical narrative playing out, and that night we more or less had a track order done. Then it took us about four years to get the sounds right. Many factors were at play in why it needed all this time. One of the biggest being living quite a distance from each other for a couple of years which made things a little trickier. We worked until it was done and it happened to take four years this time", explained Gottfrid in our interview back in March 2021.

Regardless of the time it took to actually being released, when it came out it certainly impressed many of us listeners, with its strange, enigmatic and haunting soundscapes, moving from psychedelic blues to moments of instrumental, dark ambient. Pelle and Gottfrid made it immediately clear when the album was released, that it has never been intended to be played live.

Focus On: UnoX

We are starting this new series of posts to highlight, one at a time, the musicians and the bands who will play live in the next months: in this first post, we begin with UnoX, as they are indeed the first who will play live this year, with one show coming up already next week.

UnoX is the union of Uno Bruniusson's eclectic percussions with Xrysafeniax ' electronic sounds: both were already active in their respective projects (Uno, beside drumming with Maggot Heart, CV Vision, and others, also has his solo project Perkwuno, and Xrysafeniax plays in her duo with Alexandra Maciá, Phallucipher),  when they decided to join their musical skills and ideas and venture in a more experimental territory, to create with rhythms and sound waves the equivalent of a psychedelic experience.

New live dates announced for UnoX - the rhythmic/electro creature of Perkwuno and Xrysafeniax

Back in January of this year, Perkwuno (Uno Bruniusson) and Xrysafeniax (Phallucipher,Vortex Era) joined their musical forces and  performed their first live set in Berlin as a new experimental duo: UnoX.

Exploring patterns and sound waves, Xrysafeniax's electronic signals met with Uno's psychedelic rhythms and brought out the best of each other to create a really captivating combination.

They are now back and two new live dates have just been announced:

- July 1st at Fusion Festival, Lärz (DE)
- July 15th at Kulturhuset Femman, Uppsala (SWE) (Event Page)

We can't wait to hear more of their mesmerizing music! Meanwhile you can follow:

Experience the dreamlike realm of Perkwuno & Vortex Era's "REPERCUSSIONS"

Uno Bruniusson's solo project Perkwuno and Vortex Era Media are premiering today their collaboration project "REPERCUSSIONS": an intersection between sound and visual art which blends the borders of perception playing with rhythm, moving images, lights as well as with the audience's own senses.

The result of this inspired artistic combination is a 20-minute dreamlike audio visual experience which shapes its own experimental realm, built on beat patterns, intriguing passages of electronic tunes, surrounded by a flow of vibrating images in a contemplative ambient soundscape.

"Repercussions" is a piece aiming at following the journey of a signal generated from physical impact to visualisation through vibration onto water", explains the presentation on Vortex Era's official page. The concept is delivered in the form of an audiovisual collaborative live performance by drummer Uno Bruniusson aka Perkwuno and the art group Vortex Era. Berlin based Uno Bruniusson, has built an electronic music setup triggering several synthesisers by acoustic drums. Xrysafeniax Dadanæ and Alexandra Maciá of the audiovisual Berlin based art group Vortex Era, set up the analogue installation that translates Uno's audio signals into vibration and image through light. Produced, performed and filmed by the group, in the space kindly provided by Musik Statt Autobahn and funded by Musikfonds e.V., this is an initiative to literally visualise sound, using its physical attributes in synchronicity."

Stream&watch it below and don't forget to follow Perkwuno and Vortex Era on their official channels!

Assassinaxions' "Opening A Cold Hole" now available online

One year ago, right before the RVL! and Maggot Heart tour began, a little gem of experimental music created by Lukas Häger (guitar player of RVL!, No Future and founder/curator of End All Parties) was released on cassette on a strictly limited edition: Assassinaxions' "Opening A Cold Hole" . Now, for all those who couldn't get a copy at the time, it is available online to stream: a perfect chance to immerse in something genuinely compelling and uncanny, to explore the multifaceted experimental sides of music.
