Nine songs of total caustic, harsh chaos - but we're not going to get fooled here, because noticeably CW's chaos sounds like it is a skillfully crafted one, which then gets through a sort of annihilation process, shattered, brought to its limits until it reaches a whole new, devastating level, as if the vicious idea behind it all was to create and destroy at the same time. And that's something that apparently Concrete Winds do extremely well, mastering this destructive songwriting in their own unique way, album after album.
This third creature in particular, not only shows this aspect of Concrete Winds much more than its predecessors, delivering some of their most abrasive yet striking riffs, but it also incorporates more diffusely their industrial elements (including, at the end of "Hell Trance", that fragment which many of us remember from their live shows as the interlude right before getting hit by "Dissident Mutilator").
This just adds that perfect final ingredient which makes it sound like this massive creature made of flesh and concrete.
So think of whatever instrument of torture you prefer made into its musical equivalent, and you still won't quite get the idea of "Concrete Winds": the unhuman savagery of the riffs that here slay even harsher, the rabid, pummelling drums which gained a denser sound on this third assault, the murderous sounding vocals and just the overall unhinged madness of this whole record - culminating visually in that bloodthirsty cover artwork - everything has been taken beyond and immolated to the altar of ferocity, and so will be also all the deranged listeners like us, who have been waiting for an album which could tap into that deep, pure hatred that dwells within the veins.
Here it finally is, Concrete Winds, smashing with no mercy straight in our face!
