Book: Seven Metal Inches - Three Decades of Picture 7"s in Extreme Metal
"Seven Metal Inches" is the appropriate title of the book by Andreas Hertkorn which covers the past three decades of 7" picture disc releases in extreme metal: beside being a printed version of the vast encyclopedia that exists online at the site www.sevenmetalinches.com and featuring plenty of images of vinyls, flyers, artworks and more, it also includes 70 exclusive interviews with bands, labels and artists who share their passion for vinyl and discuss their picture disc releases.
Watain are among the bands interviewed in the book (to name but a few: Ancient Rites, Asphyx, Beastcraft, Brutal Truth, Denial of God, Dismember, Drowning the Light, Enthroned, In Aeternum, Incantation, Manticore, Mayhem, Mortifilia, Napalm Death, Nekrofilth, Nocturnal Graves, Nunslaughter, Sabbat, Sarkom, Sombre Présage, Sorhin, Vulcano and many, many more).
"As a picture disc maniac himself, front man Erik Danielsson wasted no time and mailed back his extensive answers after a couple of hours" explains the author of the book introducing the Watain interview.
A preview of the fully colored tome can be seen below:

Watain release video for "Nuclear Alchemy" and album details
After premiering the new song on Swedish Radio, Watain have revealed today a fiery video for "Nuclear Alchemy", directed by Claudio Marino (Artax Film, also director of "Music, Blood and Spirit", the short documentary-interview about Watain's vocalist and songwriter Erik Danielsson).
Details about the band's upcoming sixth full-length have also been disclosed today: titled "Trident Wolf Eclipse", to be released on January 5th, 2018 through Watain's label His Master's Noise and Century Media, it "contains eight songs and is our shortest and, I suppose you could say, most to-the-point record so far. Out of all the depths explored through our past work, I believe this holds some of our strongest and most relevant material to date.", explains Erik Danielsson on the interview conducted by Bardo Methodology , also published earlier today.
