VERGING - an unofficial music video for BY ENDS GREAT GLITTER by PÅGÅ

Today, for those of you who, just like us, enjoy having from time to time also some visual stimulation along with their favourite music, we are delighted to present "Verging", an unofficial video for one of PÅGÅ's most spellbinding songs: "By Ends Great Glitter".

The video is an experimental sequence of scenes which, as the title suggests, hints in a way at the feeling of approaching, of culmination, that might be sensed in the sort of ethereal, uncanny bliss which seems to permeate this song. Fragmented flashes and visions perhaps of an awakening, of a discovery, or maybe an encounter.

It has been conjured up by Vesperalia and of course PÅGÅ's music has been used with permission.

You can watch it here below, we hope you'll enjoy it and in case you haven't yet, grab yourself a copy of the unique album which is PÅGÅ's fantastic debut "The Evil Year", available at Svart Records.

Maggot Heart release new video for the song "This Shadow"

The latest single by power trio Maggot Heart just got the video treatment and today the band has released this new visual piece to accompany their song "This Shadow"!

The video has been directed by Finnish artist and director Tekla Valy who made use of a very fitting combination of light and darkness, exposure and color balance to surround the band - and the eerie dancer who haunts the video here and there - with moving shadows and little creepy figures, adding a touch of dark and ghastly atmosphere.

Images of Linnéa, Oliva and Uno playing close to a fire in a cave alternate to the uncanny silhouette of the dancer who projects her shadow across, matching the title of the song and the reflections narrated in the lyrics.

Watch Shaam Larein 's uncanny video for new single "Murderer", directed by Gottfrid Åhman

Shaam Larein's new single "Murderer" is out today on Svart Records and to celebrate the release, they have shared a brand new video shot and directed by Gottfrid Åhman, who also directed their previous video for "Aurora". And once again the choice couldn't have been more appropriate, as this new piece of cinematic spectral reverie perfectly conveys the atmosphere of the music and adds even more intensity to the three powerful voices of Shaam Larein's vocalists, which coil together so elegantly. The song escalates in a menacing and captivating feel which keeps the listeners in a sort of suspended moment, while at the same time shaking them with the almost dramatic dark rock sound of the intruments.

WATAIN 's new video "We Remain" is a visionary account of the band's manifestations

"How red and full of truth are not
the stories by the fires told?
Absorbed and passed on by every dreamer
Madly drunk from embers glow"

As previously announced through the band's official accounts, on March 31st WATAIN have premiered their new music video "We Remain", third final single before their album "The Agony & Ecstasy of WATAIN" is released on April 29th.

The video, directed by Johan Bååth, who was also behind WATAIN's "Opus Diaboli" and "Outlaw" music video, showcases a selection of clips and images that honours the band's history and its various manifestations throughout the years, since the very early, primal stages of the band, through live and guests members who have become part of WATAIN during the band's growth, such as their brothers Selim Lemouchi and Set Teitan; up until its more recent embodiment, with H.Death and E.Forcas of Degial fame.

"I began writing "We Remain" in 2012, as a meditation on the concept of Mythopoeia; our mythical origins and how our understanding and approach to them is shaped and transformed throughout time", comments Erik Danielsson on the band's official statement presenting the single. "The lyric is built around the five elemental wings of the Pentagram, and the mysteries embedded in that ancient symbol. It is a song about forgotten things that ought to be remembered, the search for truths that were lost, of the ever burning flame that illuminates the darkness of times immemorial, the passing of aeons and and our ponderable place therein."

WATAIN awakens the beast of Black metal with new single "The Howling"

Today the wolves of WATAIN strikes again with their new powerful, majestic and fiery black metal hymn titled "The Howling"!

The song is taken from WATAIN's upcoming seventh album, due out in Spring of 2022 on Nuclear Blast Records.
In a terrific blast of magnificent riffs, relentless vocals and pummeling drums, "The Howling" has WATAIN's unmistakable touch of pitch black epicness, which is able to evoke such feelings of awe, and at the same time the violence and the sharpness of a wolf's teeth, eager to feast on the listeners' flesh.

While waiting for WATAIN's new album to be out, "The Howling" surely provides some fierce black metal excellence to call upon the most primordial and untamed part of music and of existence.

WATAIN have also released in conjunction a new video for their single, once again masterfully directed by Claudio Marino / Artax Film, a fierce and uncompromising reminder that the cunning voice of the Darkness is always calling and always hungry. And it surely resounds in WATAIN's music!

Endtime release impressive animated video for their song "Living Graves"

Our favourite apocalyptic doomers Endtime have just released a truly amazing music video for their song "Living Graves": inspired by 80s cartoons, it depicts, needless to say, a terrible, literally explosive, end of the world, taken over by some nasty creatures of ungodly size and shape.

The whole animation has been created by Affe, bass player of Endtime, also member of Obnoxious Youth (whom by the way we interviewed some time ago) and he has really done an incredible job. A perfect match to the song, which shatters hopes in everyone's mind with its dope, powerful riffs and shrieking vocals.

"Living Graves" is taken from Endtime's upcoming album "Impending Doom", out on Heavy Psych Sounds Records on March 4th, 2022: pre-orders are now open on the label's European shop as well as on the U.S. shop.

New Reveal! video for "Decomposer"

Time for some visual eeriness to accompany Reveal!'s creepiest and most subtly disquieting song: "Decomposer"!
It's certainly a track that stands out on "Scissorgod" - and throughout all Reveal!'s discography, actually - with its distinctive atmosphere, its unnerving yet captivating melody and its whispering vocals, which give in to that few louder outbursts only enough to disclose a glimpse of the true, deceptive nature of the song's only seemingly quite-paced mood.
In this video, made by our long-time conspirator in rotten graphic Vesperalia, visuals are arranged as to keep up with this twisted dynamic, and scenes of different levels of organic decomposition alternate with images of intrusive visions and disquieting details, as if to suggest an increasing corrosion of mental lucidity at play; throughout the whole video, images of sand inexorably flowing through a hourglass repeatedly show up, like an uncanny memento mori.
"Decomposer" is the third song on Reveal!'s latest album "Scissorgod", released on Sepulchral Voice Records on November 29th, 2019 and it can be purchased on vinyl and on CD at End All Parties, along with their latest merchandise, and digitally on Bandcamp.
Press play here below to watch the video for "Decomposer" and don't be surprised if the rotting smell reaches you while watching...

Gottfrid Åhman directs spellbinding video for "Aurora"

Musician Shaam Larein has shared a new, haunting video for her recently released song "Aurora", superbly directed, shot and edited by Gottfrid Åhman.
The video, finely crafted and reminiscent of early silent movies' oneiric atmospheres, has premiered earlier today on MetalForces Magazine, which also reports Shaam's comment about it. "[...]Gottfrid Åhman, friend and musician, and absolutely a beautiful artist, with his incredible vision created this video. Needless to say, everything fell into place, Gottfrid took me and Aurora to the bottom of the ultimate chaos that is my home”, says the singer about the spellbinding visuals.
