Saturnalia Temple premieres new, mesmerizing video for their song "Gravity"

Today we are treated to a very special surprise: Saturnalia Temple have just released a new official video for their song "Gravity", title-track from their third album (Listenable Records, 2020).
A visually enchanting sequence of images accompanies the listener through a psychedelic journey made of patterns, shapes and colours, shifting and morphing as if actually seen through the gravitational lensing of an unknown central source, alternating with images of the band performing live.

Saturnalia Temple offers an insight to the video and to the song :
"'Gravity' was written before all the world went mad, but now seems very prophetic. I aimed to describe and channel the spiritual strife of the initiatory path and how it often is at odds with the mundane world. We are very pleased to release the title song in a powerful and visually engaging as well as hypnotic video made by our talented collaborator M from A Thousand Lost Civilizations. The only way is in, into yourself, all other roads are blocked."

A special opportunity today for all of us here who enjoy immersive music matched with equally intense visuals which mutually amplify each other: we are honoured to present on Unearthed Mirrors the premiere of Saturnalia Temple's latest video for the song "Alpha Drakonis", taken from their third full-length "Gravity" (Listenable Records, February 2020).

The visuals for "Alpha Drakonis" have been created by none other than Swedish talented artist and author Michael Idehall, known for his skillful musical, graphic and literary works in the fields of esoterism and magic, who managed to evoke in this compelling video an extremely dense and profound texture which perfectly compliments the song, the most darkly ambient piece on "Gravity", that fittingly closes the album in what could be described as a droning catharsis.

Saturnalia Temple's upcoming album "Gravity" is going to be out in just a couple of weeks and today The Obelisk has featured a new track premiere from the band's third full-length: the song which carries the same name as the band itself, "Saturnalia Temple". Verily, the track totally does justice to its emblematic name, heavy yet hypnotic and entrancing like a cosmic chasm to delve in.
Tommie Eriksson thus describes the song: "“Saturnalia Temple" is a song that sums up everything we are on all levels. It is a true keystone for all we stand for. The lyrics is an invocation of the alchemical initiation that this band expresses, and the hypnotic riffs echo this with a vengeance.”

Saturnalia Temple's new digital single "Gravity",is out today via Listenable Records on Spotify, AppleMusic and Deezer!
Undeniably a song that, while keeping the very distinctive Saturnalia Temple's tone, blending heavy, doom and psychedelia; also sounds like a more nuanced, and multi-layered progression on the band's path, a path that winds its way, solid and strong, reaffirming how the foundations of the temple are musically and conceptually deep, and where the sound, the vocals and the lyrics seem to take the shape of different currents that coil together creating a mesmerizing magnetic field.

Tommie Eriksson unveils also some interesting details about "Gravity":

"We reached a more organic sound from using only my old vintage equipment . I used my old Laney Klipp amps from 1971 (same as Iommi used on the old albums) and my 1977 Mockingbird guitar, as well as my unique old Keio Fuzz Wah from 1970. All signal paths went through my TLA Valve Preamps and compressor. Vocals was made with an old Ribbon microphone. this is the best album we’ve ever made.
