Molassess' enthralling debut album, "Through The Hollow", is out today on Season of Mist, and it can now be streamed in its entirety!
Clocking in at one hour and four minutes, the album truly exceeds all expectations and is a marvelous journey in mesmerizing soundscapes made of prog rock hills, rivers of guitars that flow directly from the ears to the mind, roads of compelling rhythm patterns and enchanting vocals which embrace the listeners, at times to cradle them, at times to shake them, but never leaving them untouched.
Molassess announced the album from their official pages with these words: "Today we can finally truly let go. And celebrate with great pride and a sense of relief the sprouting of this seed!
May it blossom and infinitely resonate, may it shake hard shells of human soul and feed our lust for creation once more.

Earlier today, Molassess have released the official video for their new single "The Devil Lives", taken from their upcoming debut full-lenght "Through The Hollow". The visuals have been made once again by S. de Jager , and perfectly manage to capture the mood of the song, without interfering with excessive distractions and simply providing a meditative frame for the listeners to immerse completely in the music, following along with the progressive immersion of Farida's figure in the video.
As the title suggests, and as Farida recently explained in her interview on The Obelisk, this enchanting piece of psychedelic rock, is a song that Farida's brother, Selim Lemouchi, began writing back in the days for The Devil's Blood, it was never finished and Molassess have decided to complete it and include it in their album. "That was a Selim song, a Devil’s Blood song, that was never finished. And we tried it. We worked on it many times, but it never was good enough, or it was never appropriate. Then it became just another thing that was thrown on the pile of unfinished stuff. But also it was one of my favorites. " said Farida. "We finished it, but it was Selim’s song. We put it at the end of the album I think too, Through the Hollow is more of a statement like, 'And now for something completely different.' It’s very clear that it’s no Devil’s Blood and we’re doing our own shit, but it felt really good to have him there also. We thought it was a perfect ending of this new beginning."
From their official pages, Mlassess have introduced "The Devil Lives" with this comment: "Our brother left us this diamond in the rough years ago. A riddle that kept resonating and found its way up and into our hearts time after time. It is with great pride, eternal love, an everburning fire and gratitude that we finally managed to climb its stairs. This is what we’ve found along the way, beneath its stirring coils.

And he lives indeed. In the guitars, in the vocals, in the overall spellbinding atmosphere of the song. It's a charisma which permeates it deeply and can't go unnoticed.

The eleven-minute mesmerizing piece carries away the listener with Farida's marvelous voice floating along with the enchanting guitar sound, and then evolves to a more sustained pace, in an irresistible musical vortex to which it is almost impossible to stand still, both at an outer and inner level.

After having been enchanted by Molassess' marvelous music and striking vocals on their EP "Mourning Haze / Drops of Sunlight" (Ván Records, 2019), it is delightful to read that earlier today they have announced the release date and the details of their upcoming debut full-length!

Exciting news for all of us appreciators of the captivating and compelling prog rock magick of Molassess: the band has announced earlier today through their official Facebook page that they have signed to Season of Mist, who will release their full-length in Fall 2020! Molassess commented: "This newborn beast is growing vastly within us. Calling out in ways yet to explore. We are excited to become one with its ever expanding language the coming years. We will be its best host possible, together with our newly formed alliance. A call for adventurous spirit is reaching out its formless hands, moving forward in blatant celebration of the irrational. We are more than ready to surface and start pouring out this cosmic glue over mind and matter. Drunk on Molassess!"

The majestic cover artwork for "Gravity"
has been crafted by Brian Van Der Pol.
Saturnalia Temple are releasing their third full-length "Gravity" on February 21st, 2020 on Listenable Records, and as of now, it's already possible to pre-order the album on CD digipak and on vinyl through Season of Mist's webshop.
Tommie Eriksson unveils also some interesting details about "Gravity":
"We reached a more organic sound from using only my old vintage equipment . I used my old Laney Klipp amps from 1971 (same as Iommi used on the old albums) and my 1977 Mockingbird guitar, as well as my unique old Keio Fuzz Wah from 1970. All signal paths went through my TLA Valve Preamps and compressor. Vocals was made with an old Ribbon microphone. this is the best album we’ve ever made.
Ester Segarra's antology "Ars Umbra" just came out on July 6th on Season of Mist, and the label has published a video where the photographer discusses her approach to music photography as well as several of the locations she has visited through the years to photograph many famous musicians of extreme metal and rock music .

The photography anthology by Ester Segarra, "Ars Umbra" is now available for pre-order on Season of Mist's webshop.
The book, which collects 15 years of the talented photographer's work, will be released on July 6th and comes with an original soundtrack exclusively composed for the book by Uno Bruniusson. A video preview of the book can be seen below:
