2023 is coming to its end and a lot has been going on musically and artistically in this past year, so here is a brief recap of what's happened, as seen through our archive posts; as well as some of the upcoming releases and shows to look forward to in 2024!
January 2023
• Uno Bruniusson and Xrysafeniax perform together for the first time as UnoX
• Morbid performs in Stockholm to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the "December Moon" demo, featuring Erik Danielsson on drums
• Henrik Palm confirms he has begun working on his third solo album
• Heavy Psych Sounds Records releases the split "DOOM SESSIONS VOL. VII"" featuring Endtime and Cosmic Reaper. Endtime's song "Tunnel Of Life" (DEVO cover) features Gottfrid Åhman on Mellotron;

February 2023

• Maggot Heart tour the U.S. with MESSA
November 2023
• WATAIN perform two spectacular shows in their hometown Uppsala for their 25th annviersary, Farida Lemouchi joins them on stage to perform "We Remain"
• PÅGÅ bring their musical explorations to WATAIN's 25th anniversary shows in Uppsala
• WATAIN release their fierce live album "Die In Fire - Live in Hell" on His Master's Noise / Nuclear Blast
December 2023
•Concrete Winds deliver their ruthless onslaught of sound at Oslo Deathfest (gallery)
• PÅGÅ bring their spellbinding sounds to Berlin with Perkwuno and Phallucipher
• Dictator Ship deliver rock'n'roll frenzy at Debaser in Stockholm
• Obnoxious Youth enter the studio to record their next release
After this year full of great music, intense live shows and amazing announcements, what does 2024 have in store so far?
Some new releases and lots of promising live shows have already been announced:
• Saturnalia Temple will release their album "Paradigm Call" on March 1st on Listenable Records, and will perform some selected live shows - as previously mentioned Tommie Eriksson will be joined by Pelle and Gottfrid Åhman - all the dates confirmed so far can be found at THIS LINK.
• Lukas Häger will tour with Gnever in February, all the dates can be found HERE.
• PÅGÅ have already announced a couple of shows with Lukas Häger and Whalesong in March: all their announced dates can be found at THIS LINK.
• UnoX will perform at Saturnalia Temple's release show in February (details here).
•Maggot Heart have been announced for Rock Hard festival and Over The Edge fest, both in May - their dates are at THIS LINK.
• Obnoxious Youth have been recording their next album in December 2023 so we are expecting them to drop their next bomb of speed and madness sometime in early 2024!
• Concrete Winds have been announced for EROS AT ARMS in May, details and if other dates get announced, at THIS LINK.
• Henrik Palm has finished working on his album in October 2023, so his next release should probably be expected to arrive sometime during 2024!
• Unpure and Xalpen will embark on their "Europe Ablaze" tour in April/May 2024: all the dates can be found IN THIS POST.
...So, a lot to look forward to already in sight, and then hopefully we will have even more news in the coming months to make this 2024 rich of great music and powerful live experiences.
